Last summer, the United States Supreme Court issued a harsh rebuke of New York State’s tyrannical pistol permit laws.
It was about 100 years overdue and very welcome.
At the same time, the Court sent a clear message to politicians across America by ordering that all future gun control laws must comply with the historical use of firearms in this country.
Six days later — with pure hatred on her face for gun owners and the Second Amendment — Kathy Hochul signed the worst gun control bill in American history into law!
It was a middle finger to the Supreme Court.
It was a middle finger to law-abiding gun owners.
And it was a middle finger to the idea that ‘We the People’ are in charge of our government, not the other way around.
The only way to deal with a tyrant like Kathy Hochul is in Federal Court; she controls too much of the legislature.
That’s why, in just four days, NYSFA will be going head-to-head with Kathy Hochul in the 2ND Circuit Court of Appeals in New York City, urging the court to overturn Hochul’s gun control law!
There are plenty of national gun rights organizations asking for New Yorkers to donate to them, professing to fight for us in court. But most of that is a scam.

Now, our legal team is preparing for the likelihood that this case will wind up back before the Supreme Court, as portions of Hochul’s law will likely survive this 2nd Circuit challenge.
And I need to ask for your continued support to help us unleash our lawyers against Kathy Hochul and the State of New York.
We don’t have any other choice.
The ramifications of Hochul’s gun control law remaining in effect are hard to comprehend. At a minimum, it means that:
- Anyone who wants to purchase ANY KIND of a semi-automatic rifle will need to obtain a special permit from the State of New York first. We believe this even includes .22 rifles.
- All ammunition sales require a NICS background check at the point of sale, giving Kathy Hochul a complete list of every round of ammunition you own.
- All churches, medical facilities, schools, restaurants that serve alcohol, public transportation, parks, playgrounds, libraries, entertainment venues, racetracks, and state parks will be declared ‘Gun Free Zones.’
Any violation of these sections will be prosecuted as a Class E felony — meaning gun owners will be facing four years in prison and tens of thousands of dollars in fines!

Of course, that’s not even the worst of it.
Hochul’s gun control law also bans concealed carry in ALL commercial businesses unless they explicitly authorize concealed carry through signage at multiple points around the building!
These are the actions of a tyrant, and we all know it.
Thankfully, there has never been a better time to fight against tyranny in court. The 6-3 Bruen decision from last year made that clear.
But we need your help to fight back.
Kathy Hochul wants our children and grandchildren to live in a state where only criminals and the government have firearms, and we all know how that ends.
