Our out of control gun-grabbing Governor, Andrew Cuomo, and his allies in Albany are licking their lips with excitement.
They believe that passage of their long-awaited ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation is all but a done deal this year, especially now that they control the State Senate.
But Governor Cuomo and his allies are painfully aware of the blowback caused by the passage of the so-called SAFE ACT in 2013 — and are working right now to pressure some Republicans into supporting this legislation as ‘political insurance.’
Their goal, with the legislature back in session, is to ram this bill into law immediately — BEFORE you and I have time to mobilize gun owners against it!
Even worse, Republican lawmakers are agreeing to support this Michael Bloomberg-funded ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ scheme in states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Iowa, and Tennessee.
Make no mistake, passage of ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation is Governor Cuomo’s top priority during this 2019 session, especially if he can secure bi-partisan support!
That’s why we have prepared a special ‘STOP RED FLAG GUN SEIZURE’ petition for you, that we hope you will sign right away. More on that below.
No gun owner wants a criminally deranged person walking around carrying a gun. But there is already a process in place to deal with people like that.
Just consider the facts.
Under current law, those who tell others of their intent to kill can be arrested for making threats if law enforcement is ever informed.
Those who are exhibiting “warning signs” that they may be planning violence can — at minimum — be interviewed by law enforcement who can move to arrest the person if needed.
As anyone in law enforcement will tell you, you can tell A LOT about a person’s intentions with the answers to just a couple questions.
But they’ll also tell you that no gun control law on the books will ever do a lick of good if law enforcement fails to do its job — like we saw at Parkland, Florida earlier this year.
Gun-grabbers know all of this, but they don’t care.
They are hoping to use their current momentum to RAM THROUGH Governor Cuomo’s long-awaited ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ bill, before you and I can try to stop them!
If enacted, ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation would allow virtually anyone to make a claim that you are a danger to yourself or someone else and ask a judge to order you stripped of your firearms.
The amount of room for abuse in this process should have every gun owner in New York alarmed. Consider the following:

Every gun owner in the state knows someone who has gone through a bad divorce; maybe you’ve gone through that misery yourself.
Can you imagine what an embittered ex-spouse could do to you if New York enacts this legislation? How about a neighbor who doesn’t like your pro-gun bumper sticker? The risk to gun owners is ENDLESS!
Governor Cuomo’s goal is to completely ELIMINATE due process to effectively enable bureaucrats to decide who gets guns and who doesn’t.
But capitol insiders report that he desperately wants to have Republican support for this legislation, to make sure that the political blowback that this bill causes doesn’t land solely on him and his allies in Albany.
That’s why our job is to draw a line in the sand against ‘Red Flag Gun Seizures’ RIGHT NOW before it’s too late!
And that depends on good folks like you.
The petition I’ve prepared for you is an important part.
Our goal at the New York State Firearms Association is to deliver a MOUNTAIN of your signed petitions on the desks of lawmakers before they cast their vote on this bill!
Every one of them will tell lawmakers one thing: you will be held accountable if you attack our gun rights!
Stand with us and sign your petition immediately!
If that happens, lawmakers in Albany are going to know that gun owners are active and organized and will hold vulnerable incumbents accountable for their actions!
But if this program is going to work, it needs to be massive.
That’s why, before floor votes are scheduled on this bill, our goal is to generate 100,000 petitions just like the ones I’ve prepared for you.
Once floor action is scheduled, our plan is to turn up
the heat on the legislature even more with another round of hard-hitting mail and statewide internet ads to mobilize gun owners into taking action.
Such a massive program won’t be cheap.
But with Governor Cuomo moving quickly to lock up the votes for this bill, we simply must act right away!
So please sign and submit your petition right away.
And if you possibly can, please send us your most generous contribution.
A few very generous folks have been able to give $1,000, while others have given $500 or $250.
If that’s too much, please give whatever amount you can — whether that’s $100, $50 or even just $25.
