Recently, I told you all about Dianne Feinstein’s ‘Assault Weapons Ban’ legislation, S. 736, and how it would BAN over 200 ordinary semi-automatic firearms.
As gun owners know, this bill was introduced early on in this Congress and red-blooded American HAMMERED their U.S. Senators and Congressmen in opposition to this stupidity.
Because of that gorgeous display of patriotism, many of the self-described ‘moderate’ Democrats in the U.S. Senate backed off, too scared of the political blowback from gun owners to dare co-sponsor or publicly support the bill.
Two of those key Senators were Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and Tammy Baldwin (D-WI). But now I have very troubling news.
Both Senators Warnock AND Baldwin recently CO-SPONSORED S.736, which means that the Senate Democrats are uniting behind this legislation which would ban, confiscate and destroy your AR-15s and HUNDREDS of other types of firearms!
This is bad news and means that support is growing in Washington for the very worst forms of gun control.
That’s why the New York State Firearms Association is DOUBLING DOWN on our programs to identify and mobilize more gun owners to make sure that OUR U.S. Senators know that pushing this bill through will definitely cost them their majority in 2022!
Help us hammer away at the U.S. Senate and stop the progression of this legislation dead in its tracks, by making an immediate and generous contribution to our ‘STOP THE GUN BAN FUND’ right away.
We simply can’t let support for S.736 continue to grow in D.C! Just because it’s the worst bill to be introduced this Congress doesn’t mean the Democrats and moderates won’t advance it if they think they can get away with it.
What’s more, if we sit back and assume that this bill won’t go anywhere, we’re giving oxygen to the other gun control lurking in the background in Congress like ‘Universal Gun Registration (H.R. 8) and Red Flag Gun Seizures (S. 292)!
Summer is a slow time in D.C., as most Americans are busy living their lives and spending time with family.
The gun-grabbers know this, and that’s why they are gaining support for their agenda from Senators like Warnock and Baldwin!
We need to keep the pressure up! If ANY of these bills become law, it would deal a crushing blow to our Second Amendment freedoms and leave us one step closer to being disarmed.
So stand up and fight back right now, remind the D.C. swamp that while Joe Biden can whisper in their ear at the moment, gun owners are going to have the final say next November!
I don’t know what you can afford to give. I just know that after an expensive legislation session where we stopped almost every single gun control bill introduced, NYSFA is still under budget from where we should be.
And between trying to build support for Stand-Your-Ground law here in New York, while pouring pressure onto New York’s Congressional delegation, we need all the help we can get!
