Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 24 hours, you’ve probably heard by now that Donald Trump selected Ohio Senator J.D. Vance to serve as his Vice-Presidential running mate.
J.D. Vance won election to the Senate in the 2022 cycle and has served as a Senator for the last 18 months. He has a 100% voting record during his time in the Senate.
But we do know more about him.
In fact, our sister organization in Ohio, Ohio Gun Owners, asked him ten specific Second Amendment-related questions via a candidate survey when he was running for the U.S. Senate in 2022.
You can view Vance’s signed Ohio Gun Owners/AFA Candidate Survey answers HERE.
Please check it out and pass it around to everyone you know!
As I mentioned, Vance’s Second Amendment record during his short time in the U.S. Senate has been good, but you and I both know things change once someone gets in that White House.
If Trump / Vance win, we need to see action, and quickly.
Biden, the federal government and the DOJ agencies like the ATF have been at war with gun owners for four years.
That’s why we insist upon transformational Second Amendment restoration.
We cannot afford to let another opportunity get wasted like the Republicans did in 2017 and 2018 when they controlled the White House, the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.
The Democrats never let an opportunity go to waste and it is high time that Republicans do the same when gun voters put them in power.
That is what NYSFA and our national affiliate, the American Firearms Association, will push for when Trump / Vance make it into the White House.
Here is a very short video of Vance saying he believes the ATF shouldn’t exist at all.
We couldn’t agree more.
The fact is, we have a small body of evidence concerning Vance. We have more with Trump.
The ONLY that that matters now is what they DO.
We’ll be watching and will keep you updated on all the latest Second Amendment developments as we head into election day.
For America,
Aaron Dorr
